Views On News is a TV Show hosted by Pakistani journalist Dr. Shahid Masood. It is broadcast from ARY One World.
As the name suggests, the host presents popular views on different national and international news and some guests are asked to present their own views on the same news. Mostly the show is about politics but sometimes other issues are also covered.
The show has interviewed almost all prominent political figures of Pakistan discussing the regional and global political situations. Discussion on current affairs and views of different political and army figures on the same issue are the interesting and informational highlights of this show. However the best thing about the host is the amount of knowledge and way of description by the host; sure comes from the teaching experience he has had as a professor in his own Mediacal College. You would never find the host involved in blame game, he just presents so much of information leaving all to ponder much.
The show has been running on two of the most popular Pakistani private channels ARY Digital and GEO with different names but the matter remains the same. Due to the fact of being critical towards the governing bodies the show has had hard times facing bans as well.
